Lakeside Country Guest House is an elegant property ideally located in front of Bassenthwaite Lake yet just a few minutes drive into the tourist town of Keswick and Cockermouth (the birth place of William Wordsworth.) The property is offering 8 individual rooms (7 en suite bathroom 1 with private bathroom) The 2 superior rooms are so called as they are more spacious and offer glorious views towards Skiddaw mountain range and Bassenthwaite Lake.
They also have 32 flat sceen television fluffy bath robes and the use of Gilchrist and Soames toiletries.

There is private parking for Guests.
Lakeside does not offer evening meals as there is a variety of places to try within a 5 minute drive drive and a lovely rosette awarded Country Inn and Bistro within walking distance.

Outside there is a furnished terrace where you are able to also relax (weather permitting) and for bird watchers you can look for Osprey between April and August.
Once inside you will notice the care and attention that has been taken in harmonizing the original architectural features (oak flooring panelling and stained glass windows) with the comforts of contemporary day living.In the resident s lounge region you can relax with a good book or magazine from the choice offered or play chess or scrabble Watch television make use of the complimentary internet wifi or just relax and take in the views.Wine glasses are provided in the guest rooms and you are welcome to bring your own tipple of option as Lakeside is not licensed.

Sharon and Arnold have 15 years Guest House experience and have lived here with their son Jordan for 8 years.They personally over see everything from the congenial welcome (with complimentary tea tray and home made cake or biscuits) to the delicious breakfasts using fresh local produce and prepared by Arnold who is a trained 5 star chef and formerly of Sharrow Bay where he was once asigned to cook for Barbara Streisand!.
