The tranquil beer garden in front of the public house is one of the prettiest in Cornwall and a great place to relax and spend an afternoon with a nice glass of Pimms.
The restaurant is non-smoking and a great place to really enjoy some fine Cornish fayre.
Low beamed ceilings open fireplaces thick stone walls and a great atmosphere.
The public house oozes charm and has a wealth of features you would expect in a historic country pub.
Much of the present property still dates from the 12th century although the public house was extended to house the stonemasons who contructed the charming church of St Brevita which is situated just behind the pub.
It is known that there has been an inn on the site since the 12th century serving weary travellers using the ancient track known as the Saint s Way.
