From the guys behind Coffeesmith and The Cogges kitchen region in Witney and The Rookery in Faringdon comes an exciting new venture in the very heart of the Cotswolds.
Rob and Sarah Tudgey have partnered with the freeholder Formula 1 stalwart Mike Gascoyne and his artist partner Silvi Schaumloeffel to reinvigorate this 10 bedroom Cotswold Inn in Bourton on the Water.
With the downstairs now transformed we will begin to revamp our 10 guestrooms during the winter.
Our aim is to welcome everyone in- locals tourists pet dogs and children are all catered for.
It goes without saying that we also do a mean Sunday Roast! Bourton on the Water is famous for attracting hordes of tourists to its picturesque vistas but we feel that a high high quality reliable dining public house has been sadly lacking until now.
Join us for breakfast brunch lunch and dinner and we offer our popular Coffeesmith coffee cakes loose leaf teas and organic tea blends from the Rookery as well as our fresh inviting décor with lots of greenery and calm colours.
As experienced café operators we wanted to comprise some of the very best features from our other sites too so we are open for food all day every day.
As a Freehouse with a brand new cellar we are showcasing the very best of the region s craft ales and beers as well as an interesting wine list and a menu that uses as many local suppliers as possible- think Cacklebean Eggs Jesse Smith Butchery Kelmscott Pork and Coln Valley Smoked Salmon.
Look out for Mike s quirky F1 memorabilia and Silvi s contemporary oil paintings adorn the Cotswold stone walls.
Rumours abound as to how the name came about (Agatha Christie is supposed to have been a guest back in the day) but what is for sure is that it has been lovingly brought up to date with signature Coffeesmith style and hospitality.
