Shimplingthorne is a Glorious haven of tranquillity and charm.
Originally a 13thC Monastery now a impressive comfy home moated and settled in the crescent of ancient woodland at the end of a private mile drive.
My aim is to give you the nicest stay possible and hope that you will perhaps become another regular guest that I have the pleasure of knowing.

A peaceful sanctuary for race goers who would like to be out of town Newmarket is only 19miles .
Cambridge less than an hour .
Sudbury and the lovely Market Town of Bury st Edmunds are close .
We are ideally situated between Long Melford and Lavenham steeped in history and magnificent architecture where there are many public houses restaurants and very fine dining .
A walk to the local public house across the fields or the two closeby churches.
Take a stroll around the impressive grounds and along the Monks Walk to say hello to the goats horses and array of swans and ducks or pick up the footpath directly from here and really enjoy a maze of routes .
I like cooking !After breakfast perhaps take a coffee and sit by the moat where you are able to really enjoy the peace and hear the bird song from the ancient woodland.
There is always a option and exceptional diets can be catered for.
