Hello and welcome to The Tithe Barn guest bed and Breakfast in Cottesmore which is a picturesque stone village in the unspoiled county of Rutland.
There is a local thatched public house (The Sun) village store and Post Office and a great Fish and Chip cafe.
We look forward to inviting you to our home where you will find we offer gracious yet congenial service - we really do have it all!.
We operate a NO-SMOKING policy indoors.
Check in times are between 4pm and 8pm and departure by 10.30am.
We are easily available by road being only five minutes drive from the A1.
There are lots of interesting and historical country houses castles and estates comprising Burghley House Rockingham and and Belton House (NT).
We are just two miles from Rutland Water which is offering a range of activities cycling windsurfing fishing walking sailing and birdwatching.
The three market towns of Oakham Stamford and Uppingham are within very easy reach as are the larger cities of Peterborough Leicester and Nottingham.
Rutland itself is a very pretty county with many villages having interesting pubs/restaurants comprising one with a Michelin Star.
We offer five rooms in the main house and two superior rooms with super king-sized guest beds on the ground floor in the pretty cottage annexe - one with a delightful conservatory over looking the garden.
All of our rooms have everything you need for your visit some having views over the garden.
We have our wood pannelled dining room where we serve delicious freshly cooked breakfasts using locally sourced produce where possible.
The original house was contructed of the attractive local stone over five centuries ago and retains many unique features - notably the Dovecote .
