We are a typical village public house set in the centre of the village of Cattistock.
For 3 years we have been voted Dorset s very best public house in the Taste of Dorset Awards and this is something we are very proud of.
Payment should be made to the Fox and Hounds prior to departing.
Please note: Laterooms do not take any payment.
We don t like to call ourselves a gastropub but we do take a pride in our cooking and also offer some lovely real ales ciders and a comprehensive wine list.
Our food offering can be described as really good home cooked public house food .
On Bank Holiday Mondays we are closed Monday Evenings.
Its IMPORTANT to note the public house opens at 7pm on a Monday (serving both food and drink) if you are booked to stay on a Monday evening and want to arrive earlier than 7pm please contact us in advance.
If you have any other questions please don t hesitate to call us.
It is also recommended that you reserve a table in ahead of time of your arrival if you would like to have dinner with us.
If you know you are likely to arrive when the public house is shut please phone us in ahead of time with your arrival time and we can ensure we are on the premises to show you to your room.
If you arrive outside of these opening hours you may not be able to gain access to the pub.
We are open between 12.00 - 2.30 and then from 6.00pm - 11.00pm.
The public house does not stay open all day which means check in times are a little restricted.
All prices are room only prices and do not comprise breakfast.
Dogs are welcome in the guest rooms and the pub.
There is parking at the rear of the public house and a public house garden.
The double rooms also have a double futon in them so if necessary they can become a family room (please enquire about this when booking).
We offer 3 rooms which are located above the public house there are 2 double ensuite rooms and a twin room that has its own en suite bathroom but which is seperate to the bedroom itself.
