Bank Cottage is a hidden gem and comes as a surprise for many visitors even local residents who do not know that this part of Newport even exists.
We re located less than thirty minutes on foot from the centre of town and are also reasonably close to the Cowes/Newport cycle path which follows the route of the old railway track along the Medina River.
Buzzards and Kestrels are also frequent visitors to our land at the rear of the property.
The Isle of Wight is one of only a few places in the British Isles that is home to the Red Squirrel and we have one that visits our front garden.
For nature lovers there are a number of forests to visit with Parkhurst Forest close by.
The Isle of Wight Festival site is within a short walking distance and the Bestival site is a few miles away.
We are handily placed for anyone on a walking or cycling holiday or the motor cycle and scooter weekends during the year.
Bank Cottage is approximately 3 miles from the nearest beach but we are no more than 30 minutes to farthest parts of the Island with its many beaches attractions.
The room is situated on the first floor and has a light and spacious shower room with toilet and private sun-deck with table and chairs all exclusively for the use of our guests.
Our property consists of one large light self-contained guest suite which can accommodate up to five people if required with a king-sized guest bed optional double sofa guest bed and a folding single bed.
Cross Business Park Dodnor Park St Mary s Hospital and the Isle of Wight College.
We are also ideally situated for anyone working in or visiting the closeby Industrial/Business estates of St.
Despite being reasonably close to the town it truly feels as if you re in the heart of the landscape surrounded by trees and fields.
We have private off-road parking and can offer storage facilities for bikes and walking boots if required.
We re perfectly situated for easy access to all areas of the Island by car public transport bike or foot.
