The Anchor Inn is located in Oldbury on Severn.
Well kept conventional beers and a well provisioned cellar add to that authentic country public house atmosphere.
With photos from the past fishing and farming bric a brac all reminders of the public houses long history.
bar The drinks bar is everything that you would expect from a conventional country public house warm and inviting cosy and snug.
In summer you can eat in the pretty garden when the well provisioned borders the hanging baskets and window boxes are at their best.
gardens The Anchor has an extremely large garden region to the side and rear of the public house with plenty of garden furnishings and room for children to run around.
Although children are most welcome in the dining room and can have great fun playing in the garden we do like to keep the public house side for adults only.
You can dine informally in the garden in the summer lounge region and public drinks bar where the menu is the same as in the dining room.
On Sundays we always offer at least two different roast meat dishes at lunch time.
With elegant country style décor and seating 40 it is extremely popular so it is always a good idea to ring before you come or call and make a reservation.

lounge The neatly kept lounge region has an easy-going ambience with beams and stone a combination of tables comprising an attractive oval oak gate-leg cushioned window seats winged seats against the wall oil paintings by a local artist and a big log fire in winter.
It has a long history dating back to the Iron Age and Roman periods.
