The Kings Arms is a recently renovated conventional country inn located in the most beautiful West Dorset village of Portesham sitting on the Jurassic coastal road between Weymouth and West Bay and only 10 minutes away Dorchester and Bridport.
We offer 3 well super luxury en suite bathroom rooms and can accommodate single double or family occupancy we are also able to cater for your four legged friends.
Food is served every day both at lunchtime and evenings.
Inside the Kings Arms that has recently been renovated is conventional drinks bar and dining region with three open fires creating a cosy inviting ambience to relax and really enjoy a drink and a meal.
The Kings Arms itself has been a public house since at least 1900.
Admiral Hardy as in Kiss Me Hardy of HMS Victory fame lived in Portesham House still standing opposite the pub.
Portesham was first mentioned in a charter dating back to 1024 when King Canute granted Porteshamme land to one of his ministers.
The Kings Arms is an historic public house in an historic village.
In the warmer months we also have our wood-fired pizza oven running in the garden.
