Brett and Kelly Sutton are proud to welcome you to The White Post the only public house in the UK that straddles two county borders.
In times gone by the two counties had different closing times.
We also offer fantastic accommodation in our three en suite bathroom rooms so you can also sample the amazing local drinks we have to offer and then wake up to more most beautiful views whilst enjoying your breakfast.
All our local awards are displayed in our bar/lounge region and we are always striving to better ourselves and what we have to offer.
The White Post has won Taste of The West Gold every year since we have been open and were luck enough to be listed in the Michelin guide within the first 6 months of opening our doors.
Come and dine in our award winning restaurant and really enjoy the far reaching views across the most beautiful Dorset and Somerset landscape the homes where we source our fantastic ingredients.
The border still runs down the middle of our drinks bar allowing us to serve from Somerset into Dorset however you no longer need to worry about that additional half an hour.
At 10.30pm punters would need to leave the Dorset drinks bar and move into Somerset to gain an additional half-hour drinking time.
The public house had two bars one in Dorset and one in Somerset.
