Our Hotel is part of the Kings Head Inn formerly the County Hotel.
This three storey property was contructed in 1874 for the Richardson brothers wine and spirit importers shippers and wholesalers.
A limited choice of quiet rooms are available on request.
As we are a main city centre location we cannot guarantee that you will not hear some activity at night or early in the mornings.
We are a Wetherspoon Lloyds No 1 public house and the drinks bar plays music until 1am Thursday Friday and Saturday nights.
FREE internet wifi is now also available throughout the hotel.
All of our rooms are en suite bathroom and comprise tea- and coffee-making facilities a hair dryer and TV.
The town public transport station is a five minute to walk from the hotel with links to Stonehenge.
Salisbury Railway Stn is a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
We do have an region on-site for guests to drop off luggage.
Due to our central location we are unable to offer on site parking however there is a large pay and display carpark just a short walk from the Hotel (the Central Car Park).
Colourful bustling congenial and full of exciting aromas from freshly ground coffee and fresh bread to spit roast chicken doughnuts and newly cut flowers.
Twice Weekly markets are still held in the Market Square.
The Close also houses the Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum The Wardrobe Military Museum Mompesson House and The Medieval Hall.
