Penkerris is a lovely old house contructed in 1903 with many of the original features.
The lawned garden was once a croquet lawn but now we have comfy garden chairs picnic tables and a barbecue.
Penkerris is central for visiting Lands End and St Michael s Mount in the west as well as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan in the east.
Truro with its cathedral big shops and county museum (a truly breathe taking collection of minerals) is only 8 miles away (bus every hour).
There are local buses to Newquay almost every hour and in the summer a few that go along the coast to St Ives.
St Agnes is on the coast almost midway between Newquay and St Ives.
There are no facilities no toilets no cafe no lifeguards.
Trevellas Porth is small and far from the madding crowd .
Trevaunance Cove is good for surfing when rough and for swimming when calm.
It is a very safe beach with lifeguards in the summer.
There are ruins of an old harbour and many little rock pools where children can see small crabs fish and ocean anemones.
Trevaunance Cove is comfortably commercialised with three car parks toilets and beach huts comprising ours which guests may use.
Lifeguards are on duty in the summer.
There is a National Trust carpark toilets and a small cafe.
The cliff paths are glorious and one can see the ruins of Wheal Coates one of the most photographed Engine Houses in Cornwall.
Chapel Porth is breathe taking with towering cliffs huge caves pools soft sand and good surfing.
St Agnes three beaches are different in character.
We buy local produce comprising bread baked here in the village.
We serve breakfast in the unique dining room.
The comfy guestrooms have television internet wifi and tea/coffee making facilities.
There are indoor toys trains dolls and board games.
The cosy lounge region has a 40 TV Sky and BT Sport.
There is parking for nine vehicles and two entrances.
There are swings and outdoor toys.
Children can play badminton or volleyball.
