The Duke of Tavistock is in a Grade II listed Victorian House contructed between the 1820s and 1840s by the 7th Duke of Bedford Francis Russell. All along Plymouth Road the Duke contructed the Georgian and early Victorian villas for the gentry professional classes and wealthy citizens of his time and was regarded as the Champs-Elysees of Tavistock. In the morning you can really enjoy the plentiful continental and full English breakfasts that are locally sourced freshly prepared and served to you in our sunny dining room over looking the Meadowlands Park which leads down to the River Tavy. We have our own private and secure customer carpark at the rear of the property accessed via Chapel Street for your convenience. All rooms have been fitted with contemporary en suite bathroom facilities chandeliers and contemporary furnishings ensuring that our guests have a comfy and relaxing stay with us. Having recently been sympathetically refurbished and modernised the house still contains period features comprising sash and stain glass windows fire places original cornice and oak flooring.
