St Maur is located to the west of Ventnor town centre in a quiet location and set in it s own sub-tropical gardens enjoying its own micro climate.
The guestrooms have all recently been upgraded to today s standards with well appointed en suite bathroom bathooms with either electric or power showers over the bath or separate shower cubicles.
We are also about a 15 minute to walk to the Botanical Gardens.
One of the very best things about the location is the closeness of the many walks that are in and around Ventnor these being the coastal footpaths to Ventnor and beyond or to St Lawrence and the Undercliff.
The cuisine is mainly English breakfast is buffet style for fruit and cereals and you can order from the good choice of hot choices.
Local fish is our specialty and is served twice a week but available every day on request at a small additional charge.
The menus are changed daily and there is always a option and we cater for all diets comprising those with food allergies.
The gardens at the back of the property are laid out to grow vegetables and fruit and at sure times of the year we are able to supply the restaurant with our own produce.
Many have remarked that you could indeed be in the Mediterranean.
The dining room faces due south and looks out onto the tropical garden.
In the evening after dinner you can really enjoy tea or coffee.
Here you will find a piano and if you are lucky someone may play a few tunes during the evening! The general lounge region is an region to sit and relax after a day out exploring.
