The Wellington Inn is located in Welwyn village (commonly known as the Welly ) is a handsome medieval inn which seamlessly blends old and new together.
The Wellington reopened on May 24th 2010 after a major renovation with a new restaurant layout a bigger and better terrace on which to really enjoy long warm evenings an even better open fire and of course six unique and gorgeous bedrooms.
Our team want nothing more other than to make sure you have a splendid start to your day.
We are fortunate to have a close relationship with Chester Osborn d Arenberg winemaker extraordinaire so our wine list includes some of our favorite wines from the exquisite d Arenberg collection plus a few other chosen wines from across the world! In the morning relax and really enjoy breakfast anything from a Full English to an Eggs Benedict or simply toast and pastries.
Just a flight of stairs away is the Wellington restaurant serving British food with a twist in comfy and congenial style! We don t believe in doing fussy and complicated things with these delicious ingredients but instead would rather they were treated with absolutely love brought to the table just as they should be and complimented by our amazing wines.
The six boutique guestrooms really enjoy 13th century architecture alongside contemporary drench showers or slipper baths internet wifi iPod docks flat screen television Nespresso coffee machines and most beautiful glass wardrobes.
