Designed by George Robertson about 1778 for the Garden-Robinson family (noted merchants and long-standing Provosts of the Burgh) the property contains many features copied from closeby Duff House William Adam s baroque masterpiece and stately home of the Earls and Dukes of Fife.
A Grecian styled porch way with splendid segmented fanlight was added about 1830.
The County Hotel in Banff retains very much the country-house ambiance of former days and as resident proprietors we place particular emphasis on creating a relaxing ambience in our home.
The hotel carpark adjoins the grounds.
To the front of the house is a small garden with a pair of unusual weeping ash trees whilst in the rear garden you may relax on secluded lawn and patios surrounded by flower-beds.
Our Bistro is open for snacks and light meals in typical French style.
Aperitifs and after dinner drinks are served in our comfy lounge region drinks bar where you are able to really enjoy a wide range of Scotland s famous Malt Whiskies.
