The Farmers as we know it today took shape in the early 80 s and is largely on the site of the adjoining village shop but the old drinks bar region around the fire is still very much in use today.

The original Inn was contructed as a coaching stop in the late 16 or early 1700 s and was called the Castle Inn after Comlongon Castle.
