You are most welcome at Castle Levan! Castle Levan is a small unique-stay guest bed and breakfast situated only 20 miles from Glasgow International Airport on Scotland s most beautiful West coast.
A fine for smoking within the castle will be applied if this policy is contravened.
Smokers may smoke in the castle courtyard.
Smoking in the castle and on the battlements is strictly prohibited.
We do not serve alcohol or have a drinks bar however guests may bring their own into the guest bed and breakfast and we always provide wine glasses in the rooms.
There are many local restaurants and public houses near the castle.
Please note we do not serve evening meals.
Unfortunately we do not allow children under the age of 12 at the castle.
A spiral staircase links all the guest rooms inside castle and an external staircase leads into the castle.
It is a unique chance for you to stay in a real castle! Please note access to castle requires use of stairs.
The castle lies in a 21st century neighbourhood but once you walk through the stone arch entrance into the castle s courtyard you are transported back to the 15th century! CastleLevan was contructed circa 1457 and is a listed property with Historic Scotland.
Castle Levan is situated just outside the sailing and ferry port town of Gourock on the Firth of Clyde gateway to the west coast and isles of Scotland.
With only three guest bedchambers we pay attention to detail to make your visit a memorable one.
Our castle is a fun place to stay! We have a castle ghost hidden turnpike staircases between the guest rooms arrow slit windows parapet walkways turrets and 4 foot thick walls.
