Our farm is at the heart of everything we do it has been in our family for generations but for the last twenty years it had not been farmed and had fallen into disrepair.
Although wild and most beautiful it had become unprofitable as is so common with many of the welsh hill farms with Cwmberach Uchaf being the last remaining working farm on this stretch of the mountain.
The glacial lakes of Llyn y Fan Fach and Lyn y Fan Fawr make for a good day trip or pony trekking through the most beautiful Black Mountain.
Alternatively there is the lovely market town of LLandeilo on the River Towy and beside it Dinefwr Castle.
Nearby visit Carreg Cennen castle reached by a most beautiful 5-mile walking route.
Cuckoos now the 5th most endangered bird in the UK visit every year as they always have.
It has become something of a nature reserve with badgers foxes owls red kites and other endangered bird species still thriving.
The landscape has prompted visitors to comment on the genuine away-from-it-all feeling of remoteness quiet and wildness.
A small river the Berach runs through it with mountain springs and marshland dotted throughout.
The farmland has all the variety you would expect from a National Park: pasture moorland woodland and mountains.
Our vision is to continue to develop firstly as a farm but also through diversification such as sustainable tourism and outdoor activities allowing visitors to share in our experiences and life on the farm.
