We hope you will really enjoy the leisurely pace at which the hotel operates.
You can really enjoy the ever changing colours of the mountains and forest the tumbling and rushing waterfalls on our doorstep the daffodils in spring the lush gardens in the summer.
We do accept well behaved insured pet dogs in some rooms(it will appear as an optional extra) please contact the hotel with your requirements we are happy to help but will refuse or make an additional charge if you try to check into the hotel with your dog without contacting us first since we have limits placed on us.
To unwind really enjoy most beautiful village walks with local waterfalls or playtime on the gently shelving sandy Blue Flag beaches just 15 mins away at Barmouth or 36 miles from Mt Snowdon itself.
This puts the hotel in a prime location for access to Europes premier mountain bike courses at Coed Y Brenin Forest Centre Nant Gwrtheyrn National DH track Betws-y-Coed Penmachno and the newly opened Down Hill Mountain bike Centre in Blaenau Ffestiniog all being within 30 miles of the house.
With the Welsh name of Eryri meaning the place of the eagles Snowdonia National Park is an region of outstanding natural beauty covering 838 square miles and containing some of the most breathe taking scenery in the country.
Or explore a little further afield to visit the beaches or the high mountains and castles of most beautiful North Wales.
We are not completely away from civilisation with just 8 Mins to the old County town of Dolgellau set at the foothills of the Cadair Idris Mountain range just hidden from view but visible from the precipice walk (one of the most memorable in the UK) which overlooks the hotel.
You could leave the hotel and walk all day without taking your car visiting one of the several waterfalls or gold and copper mines that nestle within the forest around the hotel fish the salmon and ocean trout on our own stretch of the Mawddach river.
