Built as a Gentleman s Residence in 1850 on the site of the historic 13th century Cistercian Monastery the hotel is located within most beautiful grounds with the foothills of the Snowdonia range providing a dramatic backdrop.
As soon as you walk into our entrance hall with its breathe taking galleried Victorian staircase and blazing winter log fire you will immediately feel at home.
We can provide facilities for a variety of functions we hold a Civil Ceremony Licence for Weddings we can cater for private parties of different sizes conference facilities are also available.
Our congenial drinks bar is open to the general public and attracts many locals and regulars as well as those guests staying with us whilst our elegant residents lounge region is the ideal spot to really enjoy a quiet coffee after dinner.
We use only the finest products that are locally produced wherever possible and cooked to the highest standard.
Here at the Abbey we pride ourselves on our cooking which is offering a unique combination of conventional Welsh fair alongside more contemporary international dishes.
All fourteen guestrooms are en suite bathroom and offer a flexible mixture of single doubles twins a four poster bridal guest suite and 3 family rooms.
Whilst maintaining its historic traditions Maenan Abbey is offering all contemporary hotel facilities.
