Welcome to The Kings Head Hotel.
This fantastic old public house is newly renovated and now serving great tasting conventional public house meals with a fine dining twist.
Our Head Chef Jacob Sampson is the youngest Welsh chef ever to be awarded a Rosette and we endeavour to grow his reputation and career here at The Kings Head.
The Lazy Kettle cafe was opened in December 2000 and has been operating 7 days a week since.
Our main business interest has traditionally been in fuel distribution and retail we also operate another food business situated on the A5 .
The works to the main property are now complete (April 2018) and we are now ready to receive our first guests .
The Pickstock family who live locally purchased this property in summer 2017 and set about a full renovation this breathe taking old property had been brewery owned for many years previously and was in dire need of a serious financial investment.
A stay here with us promises a clean warm and comfy room and a great tasting food experience.
We are located within a short walking distance of the River Vyrnwy and some great trout and salmon fishing is available through local Farms.
Set in the centre of Meifod Village its a great place to come and stay to tour this most beautiful and historic area.
There are 8 en suite bathroom rooms in total and one Family room.
