Among the many guests to stay at the Mount Pleasant Inn we were pleased to welcome members of both the Welsh and English Fishing teams Merthyr Tydfil was once the Iron capital of the world and is rich in culture and hosts a catalogue of attractions comprising the famous route of the first steam hauled railway journey by Richard Trevithick in 1804 Cyfarthfa Castle and the Brecon Mountain Railway The ambience is warm and congenial here at the Mount Pleasant yet efficient.
Ideal for walkers and cyclists we are adjacent to the famous Taff Trail 10 minutes away the Welsh International Climbing Centre and the region is well known for hand gliding and paragliding.
